Who's Behind Healthy Debate '08?

We've been asked "who are the people behind HealthyDebate08.com? Why would they do this?"

"Who's behind HealthyDebate08.com?"
Everyday folks such as yourself. We are from a wide range of political beliefs from conservative to liberal, wingnut to moonbat and mostly everything in between. The one thing we all have in common is that we love America. We know that our freedom depends on us having civil, issue-based discussions without the downward spiral associated with mud-slinging. We are not affiliated with any major political organization.

"Why would they do this?"
There's actually a few reasons we did this:

1. We wanted to do good.
2. We have yet to find one place for everyday folks to post their thoughts in a respectful manner for free. We felt it was high time that a place like this was made available without fear of being blasted by a candidate's machine (seeking money or donations).
3. We think LoudClick is the perfect vehicle for this discussion due to its ability to allow average people to get their thoughts out to the world, quickly and easily.

Heck, we're giving it a shot here and hope you will participate in the spirit in which it is intended.

In a nutshell, don't post anything you wouldn't be willing to say to someone you didn't know. Treating others as you'd like to be treated is just about the best way we can describe where we're going here.....
